Coventry Public Schools FY2010 Budget
Information
This is the FY10 budget requested of the Town Council by
the School Committee.
Please note that the full documentation of the requested
budget is available by contacting the office of the superintendent.
Also note that there are three (3) pages.
The summary page of expenses and revenues is provided
with a five year detail.
Since the State now requires a UCOA (Unified Chart of
Accounts) format, the following two (2) pages provide detail on expenses and
revenues by program under the new State categories.
As such, there is no five year history of the categories
and the category variance from FY2009 to FY2010 may show dramatic shifts
(increases/decreases) due to requires changes in cost allocations.
The bottom line, as shown in the summary first page, is
a request for an increase of $1.975 million which is within the S3050 limits and
includes current (FY09) programs.
On May 12th, the School Committee will hold a public
meeting on a request by the Town Council to project possible program reductions
if the school system is level funded (cut $1.975 million request).
